Art 10
3 or 5 Credits
Prerequisite: None

 Are you a creative person who likes to draw, paint and sculpt to show how you are inspired by the world around you?  Would you like to explore watercolour, acrylic, clay, charcoal and more while you work on amazing projects that will totally wow your friends?  In Art 10 you will have the chance to learn different techniques from drawing faces to sculpting animals, from painting to printmaking and everything in between.

Drawing 15 Advanced Techniques
5 Credits
Prerequisite: None
Would you like to explore graphic design and illustration while you work on amazing projects that will totally wow your friends?  In Drawing 15 you will have the opportunity to learn different techniques from drawing human bodies to drawing animals, from Manga characters to CD covers and everything in between.

Art 20
3 or 5 Credits
Prerequisite: Art 10
Students continue to develop their understanding of the fundamental concepts of colour, design, composition and perspective.  They develop and refine drawing, painting and printing skills while using a wide variety of art materials. Sculpture and clay ceramics are continued at a higher level to create three-dimensional artwork. Students are also given time for independent projects in order to explore a personal selection of expression.

Art 30
5 Credits
Prerequisite: Art 20
Students continue to develop their understanding of the fundamental concepts of colour, design, composition and perspective with an emphasis on developing their own personal artistic style.  They develop and refine drawing, painting and printing skills while using a wide variety of art materials.  Sculpture and clay ceramics are continued at a higher level to create three-dimensional artwork. They will use the vocabulary and techniques of art criticism to analyse and evaluate their own work. Students are also given more time for independent projects in order to explore a personal selection of expressions.
