Flex Tutorials
Flex Tutorials at M.E. LaZerte run each Thursday from 9:00 – 10:00am. During this hour, students can sign up for, and take advantage of, support and instruction in various subjects. We are offering tutorials in PE, Math, Social, the Arts, second languages, Science, English and CTS. The tutorials are a gift of time! Students can get help and support from teachers scheduled into a regular school day!
Parents and students should consider the tutorials an important part of the regular school day at M. E. LaZerte. Students should be encouraged to attend and take advantage of this opportunity.
NOTE: Grade ten students registered in a Flex block CALM/PE class are scheduled for eight week time slots during Thursday morning Flex Tutorials, and are required to attend to earn credits for these courses.
All other students are expected to sign up for tutorials each week and may do so until the end of the day on the Wednesday before the tutorial. Signing up for a tutorial requires students to go to a school computer in the Library or Student services area, click on the Flex Block Icon, and select the tutorial they will attend. Students should be at their tutorial classroom on Thursday morning by 9:00 am.
Students who choose not to attend tutorials, will not be allowed in the building until 10:00am. Students caught in the halls during this time will be assigned a strike.
