ART CLASS STUDENTS
Attention all students who took Art classes last semester. Please pick up your artwork from the Art room before Friday June 11. It cannot be retained over the summer.

VOLUNTEERING FOR SUMMER PROGRAM
A representative from the Capital Care Dickinsfield Volunteer Summer program will be in the Atrium over lunch on Friday, June 11 to provide information to students interested in a volunteer position with Capital Care this summer.

Academic Achievement Exam Exemption Incentive
Students who signed up to exempt a maximum of 2 June exams MUST return the completed Permission Form to Counselling NO LATER THAN 3:45 PM ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 9TH. (NO EXCEPTIONS)!

Before handing in your form:
Ensure that all parts of the Permission Form are completed.
Each completed form must be signed by you, by at least one of your parents and by the teacher(s) whose exam(s) you plan to exempt.  The teacher(s) must confirm that you have met the mark criteria.

Completed forms must be submitted to Student Services no later than 3:45 PM on June 9, 2010.

Final Step

Check the list posted on the Counselling windows for your ID Number to see if you qualified on June 11, 2010.

***If you are not sure whether you will qualify or if you plan to write the exam please study.  Please do not leave your studying until the last minute.
Remember to exempt you must have a mark of 80% or higher.  78% and 79% are not 80%.

Writers United:
The last meeting of the M. E. Lazerte Creative Writing Club will be held in room 203 on Tuesday, June 8th at 3:30 pm. All past, present, and future members and non-members are welcome to attend to discuss summer writing projects and share ideas and inspiration. Thanks to everyone who helped make this group a success.

YEARBOOK GRAD PROFILES
Yearbook Grad Profiles can now be filled out at any computer here in the school. Just log in and click the link on your Desktop "Grade 12's Enter Your Yearbook Profile Here". Keep it under 250 characters (with spaces) and a minimum of 50 characters.

Grad profiles must be submitted by Friday, June 11. Any questions see Mr. Candido.

Grade 12’s who brought in baby pictures for the grad slide show now need to pick up these pictures in Counselling ASAP. 

THE AUTISM SOCIETY OF EDMONTON AREA (ASEA)

FUN IN THE SUN
This is our long-time running Summer Respite Program, offered for youth aged 6-17 years.  A variety of both indoor and outdoor recreational activities have been planned.

JUNIOR YOUTH LEADER
Also in its second year, this is an exciting leadership opportunity for teens and young adults aged 16 to 24 years to supervise children in daily planned activities.

YOUTH VOLUNTEER  
For older and more ambitious individuals aged 16 to 24 years is the Youth Volunteer Program.  Now in its second year of running, those registered will be matched by their range of skills and interests throughout the months of July and august to an organization within the community.

Athletics Banquet
The Athletics Banquet will be taking place on June 10 @ 5:00pm in the cafeteria.  Tickets will be available in the skybox from Mr. Staples if you have already paid your fees.

NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION
ASSIST is a non-profit organization located in downtown Edmonton and its summer children's program is designed for low-income families who wish to enroll their children in a safe, fun and enriching program during the months of July and August. They need youth volunteers for the various summer camps. As well, there is an open summer staff position that pays $12/hour for individuals interested in working from July to August. 780-429-3111
